msu v. ND.

michigan state is a considerably better team than notre dame.

if i were setting odds for the game, i'd think 8 or 9 points is reasonable. if i were picking straight up, i'd definitely take state. but i have a sneaking suspicion ND will make it much closer. i am simply unable to bring myself to believe that we will beat them that badly on saturday.

i don't know why. this is a team that needed a gift of a goalline turnover by SDSU to win the opener, at home. they also needed six turnovers from a bad UM team in order to win that game. UM and SDSU might be two of the worst teams in college football this year. they are both definitely bottom-third teams. (and it boggles my mind to honestly assess UM at that level. they are *way* worse than i thought they could possibly be this season.)

anyway, i take MSU straight-up, but i'll take ND with the points. i think the final score will be in the realm of 31-24, or maybe as close as 31-27. i'm pretty set on MSU scoring a special teams or defensive touchdown. and ringer definitely gets his two.

go green!
